The 3 Essentials You Need to Slay Your Date Night Look

With Valentine’s Day coming up, I wanted to talk about one of my favorite things: getting fancy. Specifically, getting fancy for a date night look.

My husband and I have most of our date nights at home, because kids. So when the rare occasion comes that we have someone willing to watch all three kids, you’re damn right I’m going to get fancy for it.

In my opinion, you can never be over dressed. Keep reading for my 3 essentials for slaying a date night look.

Thigh highs

No matter if you’re wearing a dress or jeans, thigh highs are one of my essentials for a night out. They just have a way of making you feel sexy and confident. 8 times out of 10, my look will be paired with a good pair of thigh high boots. (side note: does anyone else sing “these boots were made for walking” in their head every time they wear boots?)

Thick brows, a contour of the gods and a highlight that will blind you…all these things are on trend right now. But even if you don’t put on a full face of make-up…a good lipstick and falsies will be your look’s best friends for date night.

Pay attention to details.

Tiny details like texture and playful sleeves are my favorite part of choosing an outfit for date night. They are subtle enough to let you shine, yet enhance your whole look at the same time.
