5 Simple Confidence Boosters For Stay At Home Moms

Sometimes when you’re a mom, you find yourself in need of some serious self confidence. We nitpick not only at our own parenting, but also at our image. That lack of self confidence seems to grow even deeper as time goes on, especially when  you’re a stay at home mom. (Full disclaimer: I wrote this with them in mind, but this can easily be applied to your days off if you’re a working mom too!)

If you’re a mom who feels completely comfortable with herself after having kids, I totally envy you! If you aren’t, I’m here to help. Here are 5 simple ways you can boost your confidence and feel like Superwoman.

When you're a mom, sometimes you find yourself in need of some serious self confidence. Here are 5 simple confidence boosters to help when you're feeling down.


Get out of your Pjs.

Yes, you’re staying at home. Yes, you’re tired and comfortable. But you also feel bad that you’ve worn nothing but pajamas for the past 4 days. If you at least dress in a jeans and a tee, you’ll feel less sluggish and more prepared for the day.


Take a shower.

Really, what is better than a hot shower? Wake up before the kids do and you can kill two birds with one stone- enjoy some alone time AND be able to match your kid’s energy once they wake up. Or if you prefer to take showers at night, wash your face first thing in the morning to help you wake up.


Ditch the mom bun.

Most of us don’t have the luxury of spending too much time on our hair (I know I sure don’t) so in comes the mom bun to save the day. Now, I have nothing against it. However, sometimes I look at it and cringe. It makes me feel like a literal mess. Doing a quick cute hairstyle for the day really makes all the difference!




Get fancy and put on some jewelry, girl. My husband always complains that I have too many clothes (can a girl really ever have too many?), so I try to change up my look without adding more to the closet.

Focus on the positive.

The most important way to boost your self confidence is to be positive. When we look in the mirror, we are so quick to look for flaws and “perfect” ourselves. Try to replace those negative thoughts with things you like about your appearance and watch your confidence level rise.
